Distance Between Guides

Every car runs true when the DBG is right. So does your shop.

The toolkit built for independent elevator contractors. Run service, invoicing, maintenance agreements and prospecting from one place — plus hydraulic pump and motor sizing — for one monthly membership. Built by a contractor, not a software company.

DBGkit — Drive Business Growth.

Nearly 30 years in the trade

Designed by a working elevator contractor who has run service, mod and install crews in North Carolina since 1997.

Made for one- to ten-person shops

No enterprise setup, no consultants. Sign in and start writing estimates the same day.

Your data stays yours

Each company gets its own private, walled-off workspace. Ask for a full copy of your data anytime.

What's in the kit

Everything a small elevator shop runs on, in one membership.

Service & Invoicing

Customers, units, estimates and invoices with clean customer-facing PDFs. Track receivables and payables so you always know who owes what.

Prospecting CRM

Track the buildings, owners and property managers you want to win. Log calls, set follow-ups and see which accounts are ready for a service proposal.

Maintenance Agreements

Build tiered maintenance plans with set visit cadences, then turn them into proposals and recurring billing without retyping anything.

LiftSize

Size hydraulic pumps and motors from capacity, speed and jack data in seconds — right from your phone in the machine room.

Rolling out

Code Search

Find the elevator code and local amendments that apply to a job, by state and municipality. Coverage is being built out state by state.

Questions

What does DBGkit stand for?

Distance Between Guides — the first number every elevator person checks. The name says who this is built for.

Is there a contract?

No. Memberships are month to month. Cancel anytime and your plan stays active through the end of the month you've paid for.

Can I bring my existing customer list?

Yes. Import customers and buildings from a spreadsheet. On the Contractor plan we'll do it with you.

Does it work on a phone in the machine room?

Yes. Everything runs in the browser on phone, tablet or laptop — nothing to install.

Is my company's data safe?

Each company's records are walled off from every other company at the database level, sign-in is required for everything, and all traffic is encrypted. Your customers and numbers are never shared or sold.

Which states does Code Search cover?

Coverage is being added state by state. Ask us about your state when you request access.

Spend less time in the office. More time on the job.
